Slow connecting speed in China Shanghai. I have set up a Shadowsocks server, the connecting speed is too slow.

That makes sense :) I think it’s the Chinese GFW, which caps your connection based on the protocols which are being used.

You could test the speed of the server itself. First, stop the Shadowsocks daemon.
Testing the speed when the server is in a normal condition, you could troubleshoot a lot better.
