Question

Spaces Domain and IP Whitelisting

Is there a way of restricting access to my spaces objects from other sites or IPs and allow only my website to access them? Suppose I have an e-Learning site wit videos that students should pay to learn, I don’t want them to access the videos out of my website or even copy the link and download them. How do i archive this with Spaces?

Hi there,

Restricting your Space for a specific IP is not possible, however, what you could do is use the Access Control Lists so that you could restrict the access to the objects that you upload to your bucket:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/reference/api/spaces-api/#access-control-lists-acls

To make a bucket or object private, create an AccessControlPolicy only containing a FULL_CONTROL grant for the owner.

Hope that this helps!

Best,

Bobby
