Spectre and Meltdown - three questions

Posted on October 17, 2019

There has been a continuous stream of OS patches (the latest known for the kernel is June 2019) since Spectre and Meltdown were announced.

  1. What assurances can DigitalOcean offer that these attacks have now been mitigated?

  2. Since the source of these attacks is really a hardware design issue, what is the current state of DigitalOcean hardware?

  3. What can I say to my customers when they ask if my (DigitalOcean) systems are secure in the context of these Intel based security problems?

Thanks

Mike
