SSH droplet asks for login

Posted on December 21, 2014

I’ve created a new Ubuntu/Ghost droplet using an SSH key & whenever I try to access the console I get the following message:

<droplet name> login:

Since I’ve used an SSH key to create this droplet I’ve not been sent a root password so have no idea what I’m supposed to be entering here. Any help would be much appreciated.

P.S. This is my first attempt at using SSH so forgive me if this is blindingly obvious

SSH key based authentication will not work when trying to login via the web-based console. Your browser session does not have access to your SSH keys. If you need to use the web-based console, you can reset the root password in the control panel.
