Your Nginx configuration has a small issue. The root directive sets the root directory for the request but does not append the /static/ part correctly. Instead, you should use the alias directive or adjust the root path.

Modify your Nginx configuration like this:

location /static/ {
    alias /root/myprojectdir/static/;
}

• alias replaces /static/ with /root/myprojectdir/static/, ensuring that requests like /static/css/style.css correctly map to /root/myprojectdir/static/css/style.css.

Alternatively, if you prefer root, modify it like this:

location /static/ {
    root /root/myprojectdir/static;
}
