Static Website and Ghost Blog

Posted on December 31, 2013

Hi,

This is my first website/blog I am setting up, and I’m slightly unsure of what needs to be done. I have a static one-page website, which is essentially my landing page- it contains a link to my ghost blog and social media links.

I have a link to my ghost blog, which I would like to have simply the my homepage url and then the extension ‘/blog’.

Is this possible with Digital Ocean? Can I have a static website and a ghost blog on another page?

Yes, Ghost now allows you to create a home.hbs template which would allow you to create a static homepage for your blog. Your landing page code would be added to the home.hbs template. I know you asked the question awhile ago, but i said id answer incase anyone else had the same issue.

You can also make your Ghost blog a static website. This involves installing Ghost locally on your computer and creating a static website using Buster Static Site Generator. You can then host your Ghost static site on digitalocean without needing to use Node.
