I have a droplet with a public IP and its working in a production site. I want to create a new droplet in the same datacenter (no matters what is the new IP) to install a new version of system and once I confirmed everything is Ok I would want to swap IPs, making the new droplet use the old IP. The old IP is not a floating IP Is it possible? Thank you in advance

Hey Aguirregus,
Unfortunately it isn’t possible to switch IP’s. This can only be done using a floating IP. The main IP is tied to the droplet it was created with, and can’t be moved between droplets like a floating IP can.
