Hello DO Community,
I have a problem that my website is very slow on shared hosting and i like to put it on DO Droplet. The problem is when i do this, my website is accessible but the website is looking like there were no CSS. When i log in to the admin panel i can’t modify anything because everything goes fail. :/
Steps i did:
1, Droplet created with LAMP Stack on 14.04 2, Logged in to the droplet and installed phpmyadmin (apache server restarted many times because i had to edit php.ini and stuffs) 3, Logged in to the phpmyadmin and imported my database 4, Uploaded the website files to the correct folder 5, Installed zip, unzip for the droplet 6, Unzipped the website files 7, Modified the joomla configuration.php 8, I just opened the website with droplet IP to test before adding my domain, but… the website is gone weird.
What should i do now? :/ I don’t want to pay another month for shared hosting. Please help. Thanks.

Hello,
Database of that Joomla website needs to edited to run via IP only… Then edited back again to domain.com once you change the DNS…
Why dont you use a panel by the way ?? Though my personal opinion, but in my case when i shifted from cPanel based shared hosting to here, using zPanel (a free control panel software) made life a lot easy and I could transfer the website on fly by just uploading everything, restoring the DB and change the DNS !!
Thanks.
