Unable to ssh after assigning reserved IP

When i start up a new droplet, i can ssh using my ssh key (RSA). However, after i assigned a reserved IP to my droplet, I can no longer ssh to it. I tried to use the droplet’s original IP as well as the reserved IP.

I get the following error:

I have checked in /root/.ssh/authorized_keys, and my key is still there.

I’ve also enabled password authentication, but it still ends up giving me the same error.

Console access also fails for authentication reason.

Please let me know if there is a logical explanation for this or if I am doing something wrong.
