1] currently no <br>2] not sure what you mean. you can take snapshot (/droplets/[droplet_id]/snapshot) and use it as an image for restore/rebuild (/droplets/[droplet_id]/restore|rebuild). you will see it in /images call also.
a. /droplets/new has image_id parameter so you can use image created before and make new droplets based on it
