Hi! I have Ubuntu 12.04 Server. Some sources report that for each virtual host must create a separate Linux user and use apache2-mpm-itk — modification of Apache. In this case, it is necessary to turn off the console and assign a virtual host directory as the working directory. Such an approach is contrary to https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-set-up-apache-virtual-hosts-on-ubuntu-12-04-lts How to set up a secure web server that has a large number of hosts? Thanks.

What “sources” are suggesting that “for each virtual host must create a separate Linux user and use apache2-mpm-itk — modification of Apache”?
The webserver being able to write to all of the files/directories of the website is not safe at all. You shouldn’t use apache2-mpm-itk unless required.
