What droplet do I use to host a discord bot?

Posted on February 25, 2017

Alright, so I recently made a Discord bot using discord.js (node.js), but I have some problems configuring it since I am really new into hosting on Digital Ocean. My questions are: What Droplet do I pick so I can run my bot? and How do I configure it so… I can run my bot. Well.

Any help would be appreciated!

To get started pretty fast, you could use a “One-click app” droplet called “NodeJS 6.9.5 on 16.04” when creating a new droplet. After that, it’s mainly NodeJS configuration and setup. https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-a-node-js-application-for-production-on-ubuntu-16-04 https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tags/node-js?type=tutorials
