Hi all, may I know which filesystem may be recommended for me? (between Ext4 or XFS) My projects are mainly wordpress ecommerce websites (e.g. https://bevbrands.com.sg) and also interactive virtual tour websites (e.g. https://batam360.com/virtual-tour/). The first one is obviously Wordpress, a common CMS. The second is static HTML files generated using 3D 360 software called 3D Vista (all I have to do is upload the HTML files into designated folders using ‘file manager’)
Facts:
- I am not a developer, but only knowledgeable in non-programming actionable items (buy hosting, install cpanel, install wordpress with softaculous, etc).
- There is no developer, no administrator, only me, a regular person trying to get into managed hosting business for myself and my direct clients (not hosting clients).
Any newbie-friendly tips will be helpful and deeply appreciated. Samuel

Interesting how you got to the point of trying to choose a filesystem.
Anyway, both XFS and Ext4 have their own advantages and disadvantages. Without going into details, however, Ext4 is the successor to Ext3, and the mainstream file system under Linux. In most places, on most servers, you’ll see your partitions be ext4 rather than XFS. XFS is used for bigger portions and file sizes mostly. For your needs, however, it’s completely unnecessary. Go with Ext4 if you even have a choice what file system to choose.
