We actually had this question come up recently. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was released on April 23, 2026. DigitalOcean typically makes new Ubuntu LTS versions available within a few weeks of the official release, but there is no public timeline yet for 26.04.
Keep an eye on the DigitalOcean changelog at https://docs.digitalocean.com/changelog/ as that is where new OS images get announced.
