We are about to publish a web app which will process sensitive customer data e.g. personal information and credit card data. Our cybersecurity partner would like to run some penetration testing against our apps to give us a recommendation report as to where to enhance our security measures.
We’ve been told that we need a persmission from DigitalOcean to go ahead with that. I wonder where/how can I get this permission?

Hey @amrseal,
In our public community, we aim to answer open questions about anything SysAdmin, DigitalOcean and beyond. However, we make every attempt to keep personal information safe and so don’t ever access personal account information here. This means we can’t provide help with any account or billing-related issues.
Please reach out to our amazing support team who will be more than happy to assist you with your account issue! :)
Hope that helps!
- Bobby.
Engaging in penetration testing at this stage is critical—not just for identifying vulnerabilities, but for validating your overall security posture against real-world attack scenarios. With sensitive data like personal and credit card information involved, this proactive approach helps ensure compliance, builds customer trust, and reduces the risk of costly breaches. Looking forward to seeing how the findings translate into stronger, more resilient protections!
