Posted on August 10, 2015

Hi ! i have 4 droplets in my account the four of them are from 1 website ( 1 for apache+php , 1 for mysql, 1 for static images ( over 500.000 images > 20gb , and 1 for mailserver ) i’ve resized 2 of them ( web and mysql ) because a lot of traffic from an event in my country ( presidential elections ) the web droplet took 8 minutes to go from 1gb/1C to 8gb / 4c and the mysql droplet i’ts taking OVER ONE HOUR ( 1hour and 30min to be exact. and it still not finished ) the droplet have 12gb occupied so it’s not that big. and digitalocean cant give an estimate, or cancel the solicitude. very poor service i’m getting here

The hypervisor that droplet is on probably does not have enough space to allow the droplet to be resized, which means it has to be moved to another hypervisor. This may cause it to take longer, but I don’t think it should take that long.
