Why Managed Database can't have App Platform as Trusted Source ?

Hello,

I’m looking to restrict the access of my Managed Database to only App Platform but it appears that we can’t actually, or I am missing something ?

This is a very high security issue !

I believe that this is not possible yet, but the DigitalOcean App Platform team has it on their roadmap.

    What do you think about GDPR ? I don’t think you wan define an app Platform as “ready for production” if you don’t offer user datas protection.

    Maybe we have to take informations near GDPR to know if it’s legal or not.

App Platform applications do not have a persistent IP address. Due to dynamic nature of the App, you will not be able to add any confined IP address to your Managed Database trusted source at this point.
