Wordpress one click or server pilot

I am wanting to use a droplet(2) to start a couple wordpress sites so I have been doing some research. My question is what is the purpose of serverpilot and why is it used when there is wordpress one click install at creation of the droplet.

Maybe I dont fully understand what server pilot is.

Hi,

ServerPilot takes care of proper security configuration and ongoing management of your server so that you don’t have to do that work yourself. As a result, ServerPilot makes it easy to professionally host WordPress on DigitalOcean even if you don’t want to do any of your own server administration.

When you’re hosting WordPress with ServerPilot rather than the DigitalOcean one-click WordPress installer,

you get automated server updates,
you can host more than one WordPress site on a server without doing any server configuration work yourself,
you can easily deploy SSL,
you can have separate SSH/SFTP logins for each app, and
you have access to monitoring features if you need them.

ServerPilot also configures a faster and more scalable application stack than is used in DigitalOcean’s one-click installer. The stack configured by ServerPilot uses Nginx as a reverse proxy in front of Apache (you still get to use .htaccess files because requests still go through Apache) and ServerPilot configures your server to use PHP’s newer FastCGI Process Manager (FPM) rather than mod_php.
