Question

Wrong username or password

I am trying to access my domain and I type in my password and username (they are correct and it says) Wrong username or password and it won’t let me access. I am using debian and my server is in Digital Ocean. It also says that I should contact the administrator. Before that, I could access my Dashbord but everytime I tried to open a folder, it said that it couldn’t load and that I should also contact the administrator.

Hi @sofiaguinaga,

I would suggest using the option to reset your password and that password to be sent to your e-mail account. That will be the root username and it’s password. From there you should be able to SSH to your Droplet.

Additionally, you can use the Droplet’s Web Console:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/resources/console/

To regain access. Once you are inside, you can see what’s been causing your issue and resolve it.
