I created a droplet using Snapshot of previous droplet but when I try to access the CLI using the credentials of the previous droplet I get a permission denied error. Even when I try ssh root@ip_address I still get the error.

Hi there @mrvd,

During the creation of the Droplet, you have to either select the SSH keys or choose to create a root password that is less secure. After that you can use that SSH key or password to SSH to the Droplet.

If you have already created the Droplet with an SSH key that you don’t have access to, you can access it by following the steps from the documentation here:

https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/droplets/resources/lost-ssh-key/

Hope that this helps. Regards, Bobby
