Ajenti Panel on configured droplets

Posted on November 3, 2016

Hi guys, I’m really new to managing a server. I already finished the getting started guide, and also successfully add a domain and point it to one of my Apache Virtual Host.

What I want is install a Panel, so it’s easier to manage the server and the website hosted on it also minimizing usage of SSH terminal connection.

Will installing Ajenti Panel broke my current config?

I have not personally worked with Ajenti a lot but for just about every other hosting control panel a clean server is required. We have a tutorial here which also calls for it.

I would recommend against it but if you want to try it out safely you could create a snapshot of your server, attempt the install and if it fails or causes problems you could roll back. My suggestion would be to start with a clean server, install Adjenti and then work to secure the droplet further and take other steps you want to take.
