Hello. I have a simple node app that just schedules cron jobs in the and that’s it. But for some reason, deployment doesn’t finish after the app is started and waits for something and then fails. What can be the reason ?

Hi there,
If you are deploying this as a web service, the App Platform would expect the service to actually run continuously and also expose an HTTP port.
If this is the case, then it sounds like it would be failing due to to the health checks, which you can take a look at the following article on how to troubleshoot:
https://docs.digitalocean.com/support/my-app-deployment-failed-because-of-a-health-check/
If your app is not actually running continuously and is not exposing an HTTP port, then you should not really use a web service component but instead, you could use a worker component:
https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/app-platform/how-to/manage-workers/
Let me know how it goes!
