Are there any plans for Managed Graph Databases?

Posted on April 28, 2020

I absolutely love the Managed Databases service that DigitalOcean provides, and I’ve been using MySQL, Postgres, and Redis successfully in production. My Data Scientists are now clamouring for a Graph Database, like Neo4J, Couchbase or DGraph.

Are there any plans for this?

Hi, My team is in the process evaluating graph database as a service options - we are looking at Neo4j Aura, Amazon Neptune and TigerGraph Cloud. We are looking at DGraph as well, so will check out that option when available. All have their pros and cons, our main criteria is ease of use (need an integrated Data Science GUI + DB solution) and cost of ownership.

Good luck with your evaluation and message me if I can provide more information on our evaluation criteria.

Hi,

I’m Tejas from Dgraph Labs, and also a long time Digital Ocean user. I just wanted to let you know that we are launching a managed Dgraph solution very soon.

Reach out to us at contact@dgraph.io if this is something you’d be interested in.
