Best practice for hosting multiple static and CMS websites

Posted on May 4, 2015

I am seeking some advice on whether to run multiple sites on one server or two. have about 10 or so websites running on the same server (4gb Ram /60GB LEMP). 3 of these are Drupal sites. The rest are small static html sites ( from 5 to 40 pages) sometimes with php.

Would it be best to spun everything in two servers. One for the fairly low requirements Static sites and another for the Drupal sites?

What would be best practice in this case?

I should add that i haven’t had any performance issues with the current setup.

I guess I’m thinking long-term. We are likely to have more of both sites both static and Drupal-based. I am also wondering whether performance would be better with a 2-server setup?
