Billing for usage

Posted on March 5, 2014

I have a question. I need a 20 cores machine only 15 minutes every 6 hours.

My question is, how many I will be charged for that usage??

Regards Daniel

Hi!

It’s 0.941 per hour. Do the math :)

But, dont forget this (from the FAQ):

Am I charged while my Droplet is in a powered-off state?
Yes. Your diskspace, CPU, RAM, and IP address are all reserved while your Droplet is powered off. If you want to save a Droplet for future use take a snapshot of it and then destroy it. You’ll be able to create a new Droplet from the snapshot image anytime to bring it back online.

Hi Rodrigo,

Thanks for the answer, maybe I asked in a wrong way, my question is if the minimum charge per use is an hour or a minute?? It’s very different if every time I create a droplet from a snapshot and use it 15 minutes will charge 0.941 instead of 0.23525 (15 minutes).

For example, Google Compute Engine have a minimum charge per use of 10 minutes although you use 5 minutes the instance.

Regards

@daniel.rubio : The minimum charge would be of one hour. E.g. creating a droplet and destroying it after 15 minutes costs you the same as destroying it after 1 hour.
