I have destroyed my droplet. Will I still be charged?

Hi there,

Once you destroy a Droplet, billing for it stops right away. You’ll only be charged for the time it was running during the current billing cycle. For example if you had the Droplet running for 10 hours and then destroyed it, you will only be charged for those 10 hours that the Droplet was active for and not the whole month.

You can confirm by checking your usage in the DigitalOcean control panel.

When a droplet is destroyed, you will no longer be billed for it. However, check if you have any existing snapshots or other services listed under your account.
