Can I pay before the end of the billing period?

I just registered and earned $100 credits, which will expired on 22nd April. Currently I’m running a droplet that costs $40/month. If I destroy it on 21st April, can I pay immediately with the hour price using the remaining credits (which will be $60 at the mean time) so that it will not be wasted, or I have to pay it on 1st May with my money.

According to the Billing Docs of DigitalOcean, this should be possible : You can pay

  • At any time during the month, you can manually make a payment using any valid payment method. This lets you pay for your month-to-date resource usage before it’s due, pay an overdue balance, or make a pre-payment. Pre-payments let you pay ahead of time for future resource usage. When your account balance is due, we apply pre-payments before we charge any credit or debit cards.

  • When your balance is due, we automatically charge the primary payment method on your account for any balance remaining after pre-payments.
