We currently run our database on a droplet with 8GB RAM / 50GB disk + 400GB volume attached to it.
The only thing stopping us from moving to managed db is the lack of volumes on managed db. Our db simply would not fit on managed db droplets or if it we could find such a droplet it would end up being x5 to x10 times more expensive.

I need a 5-15 TB database. On DO(managed database), the maximum configuration is 1.12 TB. At the moment, I just can’t use the managed database in any way.
Disappointed to find this answer to my question…
PLEASE ADD VOLUMES TO MANAGED DATABASES.

Guys,
Are you looking for something like this? [https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-move-a-postgresql-data-directory-to-a-new-location-on-ubuntu-18-04]
You can just change the data directory to the mounted point.
Same here. This is a must in order to go with managed databases. Block storage should be available for managed databases.
Been 1.5 years and still no block storage for managed db. PLEASE ADD BLOCK STORAGE FOR MANAGED DB
Hi,
I agree. This is a must. @rotem 's scenario is valid for many others too.
What a shame DO doesn’t have this feature!
Hey there, this is a must! it’s not cost effective to scale managed db if this is lacking. Please add it!
When can we expect this change for adding more storage on existing DB cluster
