I’ve been following along with this tutorial: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-and-configure-vnc-remote-access-for-the-gnome-desktop-on-centos-7
I’m in 7th step, connecting via VNC. I’ve used TigerVNC as my software as it is readily available on my work PC. I’ve used it enough times to know how it works generally and how to set up the connection.
I’m running on port 77 (5977 for TigerVNC), and have pulled the IPv4 from both the DO site and droplet itself (they match).
When I enter the IP:Port in TigerVNC, it never connects, stating the IP I’m trying to connect to doesn’t allow the connection.
I’ve also tried disabling the firewall on the droplet, although I did establish an allowance for TCP connection through the assigned port.

Hello there,
Did you reload the Firewall as stated in the article once the port was enabled/allowed? I’ll still recommend conducting another test using a different VNC client like RealVNC just to make sure the issue is not within the VNC client itself.
