Hello, Somehow I cant login to root at all anymore. It just denies access. I log into with Putty in settings which worked before. Just suddenly stopped working. I figured I would use pw reset for root from my droplet controls. But even with the new pw I get access denied.

Try this https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/droplets/how-to/connect-with-console/ and try spelling the password instead of copy/paste. Also check if you’re connecting to the right ip address which should be specified in the DO account.
None of this worked for me. Brand new droplet created but never received email with root password. Reset root password and received email with the new password but it does not work from either putty or console. Destroyed the whole thing and created a new one using SSH keys and those don’t work either. I was almost willing to give them another shot until I found this thread where not a single rep from Digital Ocean responded to this issue. How can we trust our data and code to be hosted on a site that has zero support??
