Heya, @b76b4218c0eb414e8c679429f956d7

It really depends on which environment you choose on DigitalOcean. If you deploy on a Droplet, you handle everything yourself. Uploading your project, installing the database, configuring the server, and estimating costs based on the Droplet size and any extra services. You can also use a Managed Database for your project.

If you use the DigitalOcean App Platform, most of the setup is automated and databases can be created with a few clicks, but the monthly cost is higher. Each option has different pricing and responsibilities, so your deployment and cost projection depend on which one you pick.

Hi there,

If you want to deploy your project, create a database, and get a sense of the monthly cost, the flow is pretty straightforward on DigitalOcean.

You can deploy the app on a Droplet or on App Platform, depending on whether you prefer to manage the server yourself or not. For the database, you can either install it on the same Droplet or use Managed Databases, which handle backups and updates for you.

For costs, DigitalOcean has a pricing calculator where you can estimate things based on the Droplet size, database tier, storage, and bandwidth you expect to use. In most small SaaS projects you can start with a small Droplet or the Starter tier on App Platform and a small managed database, then adjust as your traffic grows:
