Hi, I am trying to connect to the moodle database, installed on my droplet. I have not had luck in this regard, of how to connect to the database of my installation. when entering the command “$ mysqla -root -p”, the following message appears “–skip-external-locking” I hope you can help me thanks

Hi, it sounds like your moodle installation is working OK and you want to connect to the database separately.
If so, I see an error in your pasted command line, it should look more like this:
mysql -uroot -p
mysql is the name of the mysql client, -u is followed by the username root and then -p will prompt you for a password after hitting enter.
