Cpanel / Centos 7.9

With Centos 7.9 reaching EOL soon, are there any plans to create a preconfigured cpanel droplet with a newer OS? or is that something that would have to be done for a specific case?

Hello there,

You can now run cPanel/WHM on Ubuntu which is a great alternative.

This document describes the system requirements for your cPanel & WHM installation on an Ubuntu® server. You can install cPanel & WHM on Ubuntu version 20.04 LTS.

If there is a new product available in the marketplace we will update this thread with the information.

Hope that this helps!

Hey @gabba,

I don’t think there is such an idea in place at the moment. I believe since the EOL of CentOS 7.9 is December 2024, there are no plans yet.

The best thing to do to get your voice heard regarding this would be to head over to our Product Ideas board.

Hope that helps! - KFSys.
