Hello. When I try to import an image (vmdk disk) from VMWare cloud director via the API directly, I get an error “Your source URL is unreachable”. At the same time, when I store the same vmdk disk in google cloud storage and share a link to it, the import proceeds without any problems.
Could you give me an advice on what could be the problem? Is there a way to avoid unnecessary data transfer (from VMware vcloud director to another storage)? After all, VMWare gives a direct link which allows to download files without authorization. What is the difference between VMWare and google endpoints?

Seems like DO first request is HTTP HEAD and VMWare Cloud Director doesn’t support this and just returns HTTP 501 code.
This causes the error “Your source URL is unreachable”.
