i hope you notice this
the promo code from github student dev is useless
we cant able to use it because your forcing to add payment method
and as a students we dont have that
thats code is useless
maybe try if account is sign in by github with student dev pack they could bypass the force payment method then force until credit is 0 or have use the coupon

You need to enter a valid credit/debit card or make a deposit via PayPal in order to use the GitHub Student Pack. Keep in mind that this is needed in order to verify the account and once done you will not be charged.
The promo code field should be visible in the Billing section of your account, as shown in the link provided below:

Once the transaction is approved and the funds are available in your DigitalOcean account you should be good to go. If you’re still having issues with this you can also contact our amazing support team and they will assist you with adding the GitHub Education promo code.
