When deploying services using Kubernetes, Block Storage is required for data persistence. The 1 GB minimum limit is rather surplus for some services. For this purpose, it would be very welcomed to have a minimum limit of 10 MB or something around that.
Why does DigitalOcean have a minimum limit of 1 GB on Block Storage?

Hello, @BobyMCbobs
You’re correct that sometimes you’ll need less than the minimum of 1GB. However the whole idea is that usually people would like to extend the disk space of their droplets and they would need more than 1GB.
You can contact Digital Ocean’s team and ask if there is any plan to have the limit reduced, but I believe that they’re not planning to do this, because the pricing for the block storage is also per GB.
