Build performance is an area we’re actively working on. We have a few improvements on the way—some planned and some already in progress.
As for Docker builds, we do cache layers between builds of the same component. If you’re only changing the RUN command at the end of the Dockerfile, previous layers should be re-used from the cache.
If this is not the case, please open a support ticket so we can look at your app’s build logs specifically and figure out what’s happening!
To answer your initial question, the same resources are allocated for each build.
