Hello, I was wondering two things:
Is there more info / benchmarks / comparison tables related the speed of the basic CPU droplet vs Premium Intel / AMD?
Once the droplet is created, can I change the plan?
Are the additional mounted volumes SSDs?

Hi @jouo,
I’ve not seen an official benchmark test and I’ve not done such a benchmark test myself but here is one comparing DigitalOcean and Amazon’s services:
https://www.vpsbenchmarks.com/compare/docean_vs_ec2
Additionally, you can give the following Documentation on a little comparison a read:
https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/concepts/choosing-a-plan/
Lastly, on that first question, I found a blog post regarding some comparisons between the different Droplets that might come in handy
https://www.digitalocean.com/blog/a-practical-droplet-performance-comparison
Now, onto the second question. You can upgrade your Droplet at any time however you won’t be able to change the CPU of the Droplet like that. The only way to change the CPU type is to create a new Droplet.
Having said that, you can always take a Snapshot of your Droplet, create a new Droplet with the desired CPU and restore the Snapshot on it. Here is a little read on Snapshots:
https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/images/snapshots/
Yes, the additional mounted volumes are SSD.
Hope this helps!
