I set it up recently on a CentOS-6 512MB / 1 CPU, it was still usable but I found it to be more responsive on a 1GB droplet with APC enabled.
The biggest issues I found were having enough memory to run the update and install scripts. This was solved by padding in the -d flag to define a memory_limit of 512 when running updates or installs.
Also I couldn’t find a suitable PHP soap library from any repo for PHP 5.4+, I think in the end it turned out I’d added remi but not enabled it with yum --enablerepo=remi install php-soap
Just installed the oroPlatform on my localhost to test and I am very impressed by it. Will try to install it on my cloud. Have you tried installed oro yet since last comment?
I haven’t installed OROCRM myself before but looking at their website, it doesn’t look too hard to install:
