What is the reason for this report?

Hostname error.

“Could not reliably determine the server’s fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName”

I am getting the above error when trying to start Apache, for the server name i have my ip,domain.

Is this the correct format?

It’s not a critical error, but I strongly suggest you set the name you picked when you created the droplet as hostname on the server. It’s recommended to use the fqdn format. <br> <br>For an example how to do this on Linux: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-squeeze-debian-6.0-with-bind-dovecot-and-nginx-ispconfig-3-p3

Unless you are running Apache with an nginx front-end you will want to update the IP in your virtual host to match your public IP as well.

If I’m running nginx front-end and I also get this message, what should I do ?
