Is there a method to purchase credits such that future monthly payments are subtracted from the credits stored within the account?

What you can do is use Paypal to add an amount to your account, it’s how I do it as well. I add a certain amount with Paypal and once it’s needed to pay the invoices, it’s automatically deducted from my account. You can check more about that here:

Another thing to mention is that when using PayPal, your account balance will update after your payment is processed, which often takes several hours due to PayPal’s processing. PayPal also sometimes holds payments for up to 72 hours, meaning PayPal has received your money but hasn’t sent it to us yet, but the payment will still apply once PayPal releases it.

We currently do not accept prepaid cards. You can try adding your prepaid card as a funding method on a Paypal account. If Paypal allows this, you could then use your Paypal account to fund your DigitalOcean account. Otherwise, you’d need to add a different card to your account.
