We have a 100GB volume attached to a droplet which we would like to increase to 200GB. This size appears to be available as it is displayed ($20/month) in the list of sizes presented when I start select “Increase size” from the volume More… menu. However, when clicking “Resize volume” to start the operation there is a delay of a few seconds then an error message pops up with “invalid size specified”. How can we get around this?

Hey,
I think that the “invalid size specified” error might be due to a temporary issue or a restriction on resizing at that moment. DigitalOcean allows increasing block storage volumes but not decreasing them, so make sure you’re selecting an available size from the options provided.
You can try resizing the volume again by following this guide: How to Increase the Size of a Volume. If the issue persists, there might be an underlying problem with the volume or region availability.
There are currently no incidents reported:
I’d recommend reaching out to DigitalOcean support so they can check what’s preventing the resize and help you get it resolved.
Let me know how it goes.

I had this same issue for two days. Raised a support ticket with digital ocean. They raised the limit from support side. After digital ocean raided the limit, I was able to increase the size from GUI. And I was able to expand the filesystem as well without turning OFF the droplet.
