First, is your xrdp running?
- systemctl status xrdp
Have you added the xrdp user to the ssl-cert group and restarted xrdp afterward?
Additionally, have you allowed port 3389 via UFW or Iptables?
Did you update the /etc/xrdp/startwm.sh file as shown in the tutorial as well? Lastly, you need to use remote desktop to connect to your Droplet’s UI.
Additionally, if the issue is somewhere, please do let provide us with a bit more information on the matter.

I’ve used it numerous times and never had issues with it.
