How to add and set up a new N-level subdomain?

I have 2 droplets. For the 1st one I've set up a domain -- my_domain.com.

I don't know to setup N level domains. How can I set up a subdomain, something like "my.sub.xxx.yyy.my_domain.com" for the 2nd one which is 6 level domain?

Hi @samoshi

So first you need to create the A or CNAME record in the DNS of your domain.
Have you created the DNS entry at the registrar?

Then you need to setup your web server (I'm guessing) to accept connections to that domain.
Which web server are you using - Apache or Nginx?

So first you need to create the A or CNAME record in the DNS of your domain.

with what host name?

What do you mean about host name? You're asking about domains, so you essentially do the exact same thing as for the regular www subdomain, but you would just call it my.sub.xxx.yyy instead.
