Hi there,
I think that it looks like the issue happens because DigitalOcean Functions don’t currently run inside a VPC, so they can’t connect directly to Managed Databases even if you’ve added them as a trusted source.
A common workaround is to deploy your function as part of an App Platform app instead. That way, it runs in the same VPC as your Managed Database and can connect using the internal connection string. Alternatively, you can test with the public connection string (make sure SSL is enabled), but for production setups, App Platform integration is the better long-term option.
