How to enable CORS on ubuntu 20.04 with apache

I added Header add Access-Control-Allow-Origin: “*” Header add Access-Control-Allow-Methods: "GET,POST,OPTIONS,DELETE,PUT” in my apache2.conf and still does not work.

Hi there,

You need to first make sure that you have the headers module enabled:

sudo a2enmod headers

And then I think that you have to add this in the Apache virtual host for the specific website rather than the main apache conf file, eg:

<Directory /var/www/html>
   ...
   Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*"
   ...
</Directory>

Finally, do a quick config test:

sudo apache2 -t

And if you get Syntax OK restart Apache:

sudo systemctl restart apache2.service
