Why not switch to Ubuntu, from CentOS? Arguably, Ubuntu is more “n00b” friendly. Case-in-point: You can find more articles/tutorials geared toward newbies written for Ubuntu.

Sure, And if I could not find some resource for Ubuntu too then what should be my next option for OS.

I offered the suggestion as a person that’s relatively new to the Linux world, myself (less than 6 months, to be precise [no pun intended]). Before diving into Linux head-first, I researched the popular Linux distros a ton, and eventually chose Ubuntu (but only to start out with).

If you’re in love with CentOS, by all means, stick with it. Having started to feel comfortable with Ubuntu, I only recently started playing around with CentOS (b/c it remains a popular distro). I wasn’t knocking CentOS. It’s just that in my – personal – experience of delving into Linux for the first time, it was easier finding easy-to-follow documentation for Ubuntu 99% of the time.

There’s plenty of documentation out there for CentOS, it’s just that it wasn’t always easy to follow b/c it wasn’t ‘dumb-downed’ for n00bs, like myself. As I’m sure you know, CentOS remains very popular among enterprise users (although, arguably, Ubuntu has surpassed CentOS’s popularity). It seemed to me as though most articles were written for experienced system admins (where it was assumed that the reader could count on a minimum level of Linux knowledge). Again, just my 2 cents.
