How to setup the SSL for database on Plesk

Posted on December 4, 2021

After creating the mariaDB database, I access the phpmyadmin panel through Plesk and I can see that SSL is disable [image here(https://imgur.com/a/Ibb0D16). There is somebody that know how to enable? I try to connect using my program but I get an error then from the MySql Workbench and I get this error: “SSL connection error: SSL is required but the server doesn’t support it”

Hi @65polini,

The below documentation can guide you with enabling SSL for MariaDB: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/securing-connections-for-client-and-server/

Regarding the error from the MySQL workbench; From the “SSL” tab under Connection Method, you can select the drop-down for the “Use SSL” and choose “If Available” instead of “Required”.

I hope this helps!
