I am currently using Google App Engine and a K8s cluster balancing between the two using DNS round robin in Cloud Flare. I would like to migrate to DO Apps Platform but i see no way to configure a domain without a CNAME or changing the NS root.
What i am looking for is a feature like “GAE custom domain”: https://cloud.google.com/appengine/docs/legacy/standard/python/mapping-custom-domains
Here you can have Google App Engine with custom domain and automatic SSL certificate managment without changing your NS servers (they authenticate you through a TXT entry in your DNS).
Is this possible / planned?

I don’t believe that this is possible for the time being.
The best thing to do to get your voice heard regarding this would be to head over to our Product Ideas board and post a new idea, including as much information as possible for what you’d like to see implemented.
