I am cutting and pasting all the time from the website to my word processor, but sometimes images don’t come with, which means I have to spend time editing. I am printing off all the important stuff and putting it in a file for quick and easy reference, so a print friendly icon would be great.

I’d definitely recommend doing as @ryanpq mentioned. In the mean time, if you have or don’t mind creating an Evernote account, they have a Chrome plugin called Web Clipper which allows you to clip and store articles to your Evernote account (including the free account).
The web clipper, when Article is selected, will clip the entire article – pictures, formatting, and all (except comments) – and sync it to your Evernote account. You can then view it online, through their application (available on Windows and MacOS), or by visiting a share link.
You can also export the note as HTML, which you could then print off.
